Does a new piling or pole need a Duke Energy permit?
Replacing a failed pole or piling in the same spot on a permitted dock is generally maintenance. Adding poles that change the footprint, or extending the dock, falls under the Duke Energy Lake Use Permit. We confirm the permit side before any work that changes your dock's size or position on the shoreline.
What hardware lasts on Lake Norman?
