About Lake Norman Dock & Lift
Lake Norman Dock & Lift is a locally owned dock builder serving Lake Norman and the Mooresville shoreline in North Carolina. We repair, rebuild, and build floating docks, and we do the shoreline and anchoring work that keeps them in place, because that is what this lake actually needs.
Lake Norman is a Duke Energy lake. Duke created it on the Catawba River and manages the shoreline under its federal license, the bottom is soft red clay, and the summer traffic loads every dock hard. A dock here is a permit question as much as a building question, and building the wrong thing, or building it without a Lake Use Permit, can cost far more than building it right. We work to the permit and to the water.
We are licensed and insured in North Carolina. We quote every job in writing before work starts. We replace old bare-foam floats with sealed encapsulated units, use galvanized and stainless hardware that survives a lake, drive pilings and set guide poles into the clay bottom, and size new docks to your shoreline and the Duke Energy permit. And we tell you plainly when a repair is better money than a rebuild, because the long way around is not how we want to earn your work.
